Our History

CivilPlan’s story began in 2014 with a bold project: the Auckland International Business Park. This initial venture marked the start of a journey that would see us grow from a small team working out of a half-built home into a leading consultancy with over 40 skilled professionals across engineering, planning, and surveying.

Our founding principle, “Big enough to compete, small enough to care,” has shaped our path, guiding us to deliver quality, responsive service and cultivate lasting partnerships. Many of our early clients are still with us today, a testament to the relationships we’ve built and our dedication to their success.

Expanding through collaboration

In 2017, our merger with Harvey Surveying strengthened our team and broadened our expertise, setting the stage for even greater capabilities.

The last few years have seen significant growth, with the opening of our Auckland CBD office and Haines Planning joining the CivilPlan family, enhancing our planning services and expanding our impact.
